Fritz Grantze

Fritz Grantze (born August 7, 1893 in Schöneberg (now Berlin), † December 13, 1966 in Berlin ) was a German CDU politician .

Fritz Grantze trained as a businessman and had been an independent wholesaler for hospital and medical supplies since 1925. Grantze was one of the founders of the IHK Berlin after the Second World War . In the 1950s he was a member of the federal board of the AOK . On March 18, 1964, he was awarded the title of " City Elder of Berlin ".

In the first Berlin election in 1946 , Grantze was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) in the Tempelhof district. Since Karl Theodor Schmitz was a district councilor in Berlin-Steglitz, Grantze moved to the Berlin House of Representatives in March 1951 . In February 1956 he left the House of Representatives. He belonged to the German Bundestag from November 17, 1955, when he replaced his late party friend Robert Tillmanns , until 1957. In the 1958 election Grantze was re-elected to the House of Representatives, in February 1963 he resigned for reasons of age.

Grantze was buried in the Heidefriedhof in Berlin-Mariendorf in an honorary grave of the Berlin Senate (grave site: A VII 447).
