Granz Henman

Granz Henman (* in London ) is a director and screenwriter who has made several films in Germany .

biography

Henman was born in London but grew up in New York , United States . When he was given a camera for his 10th birthday, he started making his own films. He later studied creative writing and animation at New York University , and English literature at Trinity College Dublin , Ireland . After graduating there, he received the Gregory Peck scholarship, which allowed him to attend a scriptwriting seminar.

In 1994 he got a job as a production assistant in the feature film Kids by Larry Clark . Four years later he came to Germany, where he co-directed Til Schweiger's directorial debut, the film Der Eisbär . A few more films followed, with his daughter Cosima getting her first role in Teufelskicker . In 2016 he shot the television film Volltreffer with Axel Stein and Julia Hartmann in the leading roles.

By 2010, Henman was engaged to actress Diana Amft .
