Pornorama (also Pornorama or the confessions of the man-made seamstress Rita Brauchts ) is a German comedy film by Marc Rothemund from 2007. The film is set in the early 1970s and thematizes - with the conflict between the sexual liberation movement and the police as a framework - the history of the teenage police candidate Bennie trying to combine the production of an amateur sex film, his Hallodri brother Freddie, his career in the police force and his first great love.

action

The daring Freddie Köpke plans to make a sex film out of money worries and land a success with it. He has already put together a complete film crew of friendly amateurs and has also secured the financing, but still needs a director. He persuades his brother Bennie , a police trainee, who would much rather make films, but initially does not agree to the production of a sex film.

Shortly before, Bennie met the activist Luzi and fell in love with her, but she doesn't know that he's with the police. Together with her he seeks out a marriage counselor and the two tell a fictional story, whereupon Bennie comes up with the idea for a script. After the location, equipment, sets and costumes have been procured, filming should begin. There are problems, however, because the leading actress, who is engaged by the producer and pizzeria owner Césare , does not speak German and does not want to shoot any nude scenes. But the film team can solve all problems with sometimes crazy ideas and finally finish the film.

On the day of the premiere, there is a long queue in front of the cinema where the film is to be shown. The film crew is happy about the huge crowd, but has to realize that the queue leads to the screening of a competing film and no visitor wants to see your film. In addition, the police imposed a demonstration ban, with Bennie being betrayed as a police officer in front of Luzi. Thereupon she leaves him, disappointed to have been with a "cop", and rejects him when he climbs to her window at night to get her back. Because of her, he refuses to be sworn in as a police officer the next day and gives up his job.

A fortunate turn leads to the fact that the film is shown at the Hofer Filmtage and receives an award, which means that the work was worth it despite the failure at the premiere. Luzi also returns to Bennie, and the two want to make many more films.

Reviews

The lexicon of the international film judges: “ Attempt to parody the sex film wave of the 1960s and 1970s, which is superficial and conservative and offers nothing more than imprecisely worked colportage . "
