Martin Langer (cameraman)

Martin Langer (born January 8, 1959 in Hanover ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Langer first worked as a prop master, sound assistant and lighting technician before he turned to the work of cameraman. After his marriage, Langer initially took the name of his wife, which is why he is performed under Martin Peglau in many productions . But since the divorce he has been working again under his maiden name.

For his work on the biopic Die Bubi Scholz Story , he received both the German Camera Award and the German Television Award in 1999. In 2003, he was nominated for the Grimme Award for the television film The Hope dies last (NDR) . In 2005 and 2011 he received nominations for the German Film Prize for Sophie Scholl - The Last Days and The Big Dream . In 1997 he won the award for a life sentence of 14 days .

Langer is a member of the German Film Academy . He lives with the actress Barbara Auer in Hamburg.
