Grassemann is a district of the municipality of Warmensteinach in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .

The place is located on a cleared island , surrounded by extensive forest areas, just under 3 km north of Warmensteinach.

Just north of Grassemann, the district road BT 4 runs from Fleckl to the Glasermühle near Bischofsgrün in an east-west direction . The BT 9 begins there and continues to Warmensteinach.

The Grassemann Open Air Museum is of central importance in the village . The altitude and seclusion of the place have meant that, in addition to the farm used as a museum and information point for the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park , other cultural landscape elements have been preserved in the area. They provide information about the settlement history and rural life in past centuries. The shape of the courtyard building was the model for the nearby Mehlmeisel forest house .
