Reviews

The author of Allmusic wrote that Grave Dancers Union was a solid alternative rock album. The titles Homesick and New World , which laid the foundation for a revival of country rock , as well as the “megahit” Runaway Train were particularly praised . Most of the other reviews were also positive, for example from CD-Universe , which said the album was made for "singing along for a stadium full of fans".

Awards

success

The album proved to be a breakthrough for the band, who had previously released five albums, none of which had made it into the charts . Grave Dancers Union reached the top 10 in Germany, among others, only just missed it in the USA and was able to achieve 11th place. In addition, it currently has double platinum status in the United States, so that the album must have been sold more than two million times there alone.
