The Gravona is a river in France that runs in the Corse-du-Sud department on the island of Corsica . It rises under the name Ruisseau de Capiajola in the Corsica Regional Nature Park , on the eastern flank of Monte Renoso (2352 m), in the municipality of Bocognano , drains in the upper reaches in a north-westerly direction, then swings to the south-west and flows after 46 kilometers at the municipal boundary from Bastelicaccia and Ajaccio as a right tributary into the Prunelli , which shortly afterwards reaches the Mediterranean . Above the town of Castellucciu the Gravona is dammed and water for the supply of Ajaccio is diverted in an aqueduct .
