Gregory Jenkins (born March 18, 1982 in Mount Vernon , New York ) is an American basketball player.

Jenkins began his sporting career in 2000 at Iona College in his home state, for whose university team he played in the NCAA for five years , as he was injured almost the entire season in 2002/03. He then went to Greece in 2005 and played one season for Iraklis Saloniki, who were relegated from A1 Ethniki at the end of the season . He returned to the US and played for the Pittsburgh Xplosion in the CBA the following season .

The 2.06 m tall and 105 kg heavy center was under contract with the German Bundesliga club Paderborn Baskets in the 2007/08 season and was able to achieve a secure midfield position with them. In the 2008/2009 season , he moved to league competitor Deutsche Bank Skyliners, with whom he reached the play-offs for the German championship, but was eliminated in the first round against eventual champions EWE Baskets Oldenburg . In his second season for the club from Frankfurt am Main he reached the final series of the 2010 German championship with the team. Just like the cup final, however, they lost this in the " Best of Five " series in five games against the Brose Baskets from Bamberg.

For the 2010/2011 season, Jenkins moved to Portugal and signed a contract with the basketball team of Benfica Lisbon . However, the Portuguese defending champion also lost the "best of seven" final series in the maximum number of games against the basketball team of FC Porto , which included former Bundesliga professional Carlos Andrade from Frankfurt . In the following season 2011/12 Jenkins played in the French LNB Pro A for Saint Thomas Basket from Le Havre . The club reached the end of the season with the 14th place in the table, the last non-relegation place. In March 2013, Jenkins joined the French third division club Vendée Basket from Challans , who was once the French cup winner in 1983 and for whom former Bundesliga professional Povilas Čukinas had already been active at the beginning of the season .
