Greger Artursson (born February 6, 1972 in Västerås ) is a former Swedish ice hockey player who played for Färjestad BK in the Elitserien during his playing career .

Career

The 175 cm tall defender began his ice hockey career at Färjestad BK in 1988 when he was on the ice in two professional games. In the course of his career he was three times Swedish champion with the Swedes . In 1998 he succeeded in the fifth game of the final series against Djurgårdens IF the decisive goal in overtime to successfully defend his title. Artursson shoots with his left hand and has played 13 times for the Swedish national ice hockey team , scoring one hit and one assist. In 2001 he took part in the Elitserien All-Star Game in Sweden. In 2004 he moved abroad to Austria’s league club EC Red Bull Salzburg , where he played four seasons and with which he became Austrian champions in 2007 and 2008 . The defender ended his career from 2008 to 2010 with Mora IK in HockeyAllsvenskan , where Artursson was team captain in the 2009/10 season .

The defender lists golf and horse riding as his hobbies .
