Grete Heger

Grete Heger (* 1916 in Vienna ; † December 25, 2007 in Zurich ) was an Austrian actress who appeared at the Zurich Schauspielhaus for 60 years .

Life

She was one of the last survivors of the legendary Zurich Schauspielhaus ensemble ; At the end of 1935, Grete Heger emigrated to Switzerland and became a member of the ensemble at the Zürcher Schauspielhaus, where she performed with personalities such as Therese Giehse , Albert Bassermann , Ernst Ginsberg , Kurt Horwitz and Leopold Lindtberg .

She played on the peacock stage and, as a small and petite actress, embodied numerous boy and girl roles. One of her most important roles was the title character in the world premiere of Else Lasker-Schüler'sArthur Aronymus and His Fathers ”, directed by Leopold Lindtberg (1936).

Before emigrating, she played in the cabaret "Der liebe Augustin" with Stella Kadmon in Vienna , in 1946 she returned and played the maid Irma in Ferenc Molnár's " Der Gläserne Pantoffel " (Director: Gustav Manker ) at the Vienna Volkstheater .

The actress had her last appearances at the Zurich Schauspielhaus in the 1990s, for example in Georg Büchner'sDantons Tod ”.
