Greek airline
The Greek Aviation Company ( Greek Ελληνική Εταιρία Εναιριων Συγκοινωνιών Elliniki Eteria Enaerion Synginonion , English Greek Company for Air Transport ) existed from 1930 to 1940 and had Athens-Dekelia as its home airport .
history
After the founding of the private Ikaros (Ελληνική Αεροπορική Εταιρεία ΙΚΑΡΟΣ), the Greek state also founded an airline in 1930. The flight operations began on June 10, 1931 with four new Junkers G 24 he , were approached from Athens from Ioannina and from 1934 also Thessaloniki . In 1939 three Junkers Ju 52s were procured for the new Athens- Heraklion route . In 1940 the company merged with TAE, which was founded in 1935 .
