Fly Hellas (also Viking Hellas ) was a Greek airline based in Athens and based at Athens-Eleftherios Venizelos Airport .
history
Viking Hellas was founded in October 2009 and began flight operations in February 2010. Until spring 2011, it was a subsidiary of the Swedish Viking Airlines, which has since become insolvent . On May 1, 2011, Viking Hellas renamed its charter division to Fly Hellas , the scheduled flight division kept the previous name.
On November 2, 2011, the airline announced that all flights planned for November were canceled after 100 passengers protested the cancellation of their flight in Birmingham on October 28 with a sit-in strike. On December 5, 2011, it was finally announced that flight operations would not resume and that the aircraft had been returned to the lessor .
