Grijó (until 2003 Grijó de Vale Benfeito ) is a town and municipality in northern Portugal .

history

The listed parish church was built in 1680. Grijó was a parish in the Cortiços district . Since its dissolution in 1853, Grijó has belonged to the Macedo de Cavaleiros district.

In 1905 the Grijó station was opened, giving Grijó a connection to the Linha do Tua line and thus to the Portuguese rail network .
