Gringo (* in Berlin ; bourgeois Irfan Kalender ), also Gringo44 , is a German rapper from Berlin-Neukölln .

life and career

Gringo, whose ancestors came to Germany from the Turkish city ​​of Şanlıurfa , began his career under the pseudonym Ilfan.K and was featured on two songs as a guest rapper on Hasan.K 's debut album Hasan.K , which was released in 2008.

Together with Hasan.K he released his album Gringo City on September 16, 2016 , after which he and Hasan.K had guest appearances on the song Come in my Hood purely on Eko Fresh's tenth studio album König von Deutschland .

Gringo became better known through the title song Nb4 of the series 4 Blocks , which he recorded together with Hasan.K. He also appears in this series as an actor in the role of gangster Samir .

In mid-2017, the second collaboration album with Hasan.K, entitled Juggernaut, was released . At the beginning of August 2018, Gringo launched the single Gigi (Zkittlez) together with the US rapper 6ix9ine . It brought him his first top 10 placement in the German charts and was also successful for the first time in Austria and Switzerland.

In October 2018 the song Standard , published by KitschKrieg , was released , in which Trettmann , Ufo361 and Gzuz were also involved. It reached number 1 in Germany and platinum status . In 2018 he had two more international successes with Dschinni and Khabib . On December 30, 2018, Gringo's debut solo album Alle Freunde bold was released , which, however, did not make it into the charts despite commercially successful single releases.
