Groß-Radischen is a town and, as Großradischen, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Eisgarn in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

The place Groß-Radischen is northeast of Eisgarn in the middle of several ponds, of which the largest is the Groß-Radischen pond . Other districts are Guggus and Teilhof.

history

Groß-Radischen was part of the Litschau rule for many centuries.

Settlement development

In 1590/91 Groß-Radischen had 22 subordinate houses; In 1751 the place had 21 subservient houses.

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 85 building areas with 37,800 m² and 47 gardens on 8,938 m² in the cadastral community Großradischen, in 1989/1990 there were 88 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 336 and in 2009/2010 there were 173 buildings on 361 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 467 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 320 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 449 hectares and 329 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 420 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 332 hectares. The average soil climate number of large radishes is 20.2 (as of 2010).
