Großeichenhausen is a district of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Sauerlach in the district of Munich . The village is located between the districts of Kleineichenhausen , Arget and Gumpertsham (all municipality of Sauerlach) and Endlhausen ( municipality of Egling ) and currently has 65 inhabitants (as of 2019).
history
Like the neighboring towns of Kleineichenhausen, Gumpertshausen and Altkirchen, Großeichenhausen was part of the municipality of Eichenhausen until May 1, 1978 . Further historical background can be found in the article there.

Characteristic peasant property
Großeichenhausen has largely been able to retain its rural-village character. The Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation has therefore placed the historic buildings under monument protection. As a result, there are still some farm properties typical of the Alpine foothills in the village .

Holy Trinity Catholic Chapel
The local Catholic chapel of the Holy Trinity in Großeichenhausen has a small plastered building with a retracted apse , painted facade structure and shingled roof turret, formerly marked "1738".
