The Great Eyberg is 513 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the southern Palatinate Forest . It is located in the district of Südwestpfalz on the district of Dahn in the Dahner Felsenland , a part of the Wasgau formed by the southern part of the Palatinate Forest and the northern part of the Vosges .
On top of the Eyberg is the 18 m high Eybergturm , a steel lattice tower that was built by the French military between 1945 and 1949. The tower can only be reached via unpaved hiking trails. Its viewing platform offers a panoramic view mainly in a southerly direction.
The Great Eyberg is 513 m above sea level. NHN to the highest mountains of the Dahn rock country.
There is also a hotel of the same name (Hotel Eyberg) at the foot of the mountain in Dahn.
