The Great Ochsenkopf is a 1662 m high mountain in the Hörnergruppe in the Allgäu Alps between Weiherkopf and Riedberger Horn. The mountain is grazed by cows up to the top. The notch height of the Großer Ochsenkopf is at least 112 meters, its dominance 1.5 kilometers, with the Riedberger Horn being the reference mountain in each case.
According to Thaddäus Steiner , the mountain takes its name from an ox pasture that is no longer known today.
