Großhollenstein is a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Hollenstein an der Ybbs in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 437 building areas with 112,275 m² and 319 gardens on 504,917 m² in the cadastral community Großhollenstein, in 1989/1990 there were 430 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 1,342 and in 2009/2010 there were 659 buildings on 1206 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 475 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 2,612 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 420 hectares and 2,641 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 414 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 2,624 hectares. The average soil climate of Großhollenstein is 25.9 (as of 2010).
