Oberkirchen is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Hollenstein an der Ybbs in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 177 building areas with 48,126 m² and 62 gardens on 273,875 m² in the cadastral community of Oberkirchen, in 1989/1990 there were 178 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 231 and in 2009/2010 there were 155 buildings on 163 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 534 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 4,398 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000, 448 hectares of agriculture were practiced and 4,746 hectares were designated as forest areas. At the end of 2018, 448 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 4,729 hectares. The average soil climate number of Oberkirchen is 24.2 (as of 2010).
