The founding history of the Kreppelhof goes back to the 14th century when, as part of the so-called eastern colonization, Franconian farmers, possibly from the hamlet of Kreppling , settled across the "Bohemian Bridge" in Silesia and colonized north of the town of Landeshut on the left bank of the Bober . There are no more documents available about the farm's first plant. The Kreppelhof was presumably owned by a von Kreppel family for a while , from whom the complex is likely to have received its name, which remained until the Second World War. After the von Gotsche family took over the estate around 1555, “Haus Kreppelhof” was redesigned into a palace in the Renaissance style. It changed hands several times: first the von Schindel family, then the von Dyhrn family . In the middle of the 18th century the castle and the manor were owned by Erdmann II. Count von Promnitz . He gave Kreppelhof to his nephew Christian Friedrich Graf zu Stolberg-Wernigerode on June 8, 1765 , who bequeathed it to his son Anton zu Stolberg-Wernigerode . After his death in 1854, Kreppelhof passed to his son Eberhard zu Stolberg-Wernigerode , who was followed by his nephew Udo zu Stolberg-Wernigerode . His son Albrecht Graf zu Stolberg-Wernigerode was expropriated and expelled in 1945. In 1964 Kreppelhof Castle burned down.
