The Eisenkrämer mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Asselborn district . On August 19, 1847 a mining license was issued to Messrs Peter Klein and Theodor Eisenkrämer. The following Mutschein is dated 16 September 1847. The award citation stems of 28 June 1850 Eisenstein. The company report 1853 mentions a steer , two tusks and two tugs that moved 153 tons of ballast. A note dated October 6, 1863 states, among other things: “No worthwhile results have been achieved. Eisenstein is poor and not so cheap to mine. ” From October 22nd, 1863, a time limit was applied for and it was repeated on August 16th, 1864.

The negotiation at Grube Weiß on August 24, 1857 is interesting. Here, the technical mine official Wilhelm Best was sworn in for the Eisenstein mine Eisenkrämer in front of the district officer Pfähler, including carefully fulfilling the following duties: Conscientiously keeping pay tables, proving the correct things and shift wages , the remuneration to supervise, conscientious noting of the products and their removal, to carefully check the invoices for the materials, toughness and forging, etc. Obviously, Best, who was employed at the Weiß mine, was also responsible for the Eisenkrämer mine. The main operating point was about 100 meters northwards behind the farm of farmer Peter Brombach in Berg 1. Nothing is known about the other operating activities.
