The Grumbach is a left , 7.6 km long tributary of the Glan in the north of the district of Kusel , Rhineland-Palatinate . It rises as Rüllbach in a forest in the northeast of the Homberg district and flows mainly to the east. After just over a kilometer of the flow, it meets the federal highway 270 , which from then on accompanies it to the mouth. In the district of Herren-Sulzbach , which was soon reached, the 1.2 km long, 1.476 km² draining Sulzbach (GKZ: 2546582) from the core of this municipality flows to it from the right .

The stream finally reaches the community of Grumbach , whose name it takes on. The 1.4 km long, 1.936 km² draining Taubhauser Graben (GKZ: 2546586) flows into it from the left at the eastern municipal boundary to Lauterecken .

However, the most important tributary only flows shortly afterwards, in the east of Lauterecken: The 6.3 km long Grumbach with a catchment area of 10.257 km² to date unites with the Rötelbach coming from the right, coming from Hausweiler , almost equal (GKZ: 2546586; 6.2 km; 7.07 km²). The stream, now known as the Schweinsgraben , finally flows into the Glan from the left after about a further kilometer in the south of Lauterecken and just above / south of the well-known Lauter, which opens on the right .
