Grzegorz Sandomierski (pronunciation: [ˈɡʐɛɡɔʐ sandɔˈmʲɛrski] ) (born September 5, 1989 in Białystok , Poland ) is a Polish football player .
Career
society
Grzegorz Sandomierski plays in the position of goalkeeper. The 1.96 m tall player went through all the youth teams of Jagiellonia Białystok and made it into the club's second team in 2006, but was loaned to the second team from Lech Poznan for the second half of the 2006/07 season. After returning to Jagiellonia, he played five games in the Ekstraklasa in the 2007/08 season . The first half of the 2008/09 season he was injured completely and was loaned to Ruch Wysokie Mazowieckie in early 2009 , where he made 15 games in the 3rd Polish league. In the 2009/10 season Sandomierski stayed a total of 564 minutes without conceding a goal in the Ekstraklasa, which is a club record. Since the season he has been number one in goal for Jagiellonia Białystok after impressive performances. In August 2011 Sandomierski left the Ekstraklasa and moved to the Belgian champions KRC Genk to replace Thibaut Courtois , who had migrated to Atlético Madrid . The transfer fee should have been around 1.6 million euros. However, the Pole could not convince there too much and could not prevail against the Hungarian goalkeeper László Köteles and was loaned out to his old club Jagiellonia Białystok during the winter break. After his return in the summer of 2012, he was loaned to the English second division Blackburn Rovers for the 2012/13 season at the end of August , who also secured a purchase option. For the Rovers, Sandomierski completed only eight league games and was not committed after the season. The KRC Genk awarded it for another year. This time to the Croatian record champions Dinamo Zagreb . However, he was only second goalkeeper here and will return to Belgium for KRC Genk for the 2014/15 season .
