Guadalupe Antonio Ruíz Urquín

Guadalupe Antonio Ruíz Urquín (born April 21, 1971 in Tapitula , Chiapas ) is a Mexican Roman Catholic clergyman and appointed prelate of Huautla .

Life

Guadalupe Antonio Ruíz Urquín studied at the seminaries in San Juan de los Lagos and Tuxtla Gutiérrez . On March 19, 1997 he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Tuxtla Gutiérrez .

After further studies at the Pastoral Theological Institute for Latin America ITEPAL, he obtained a licentiate in theology. At the Lateran University in Rome he was awarded a Dr. theol. PhD . He worked as a professor and Regens at the seminary. He was also rector of the Catholic University John Paul II in Tuxtla. Before his appointment as prelate of Huautla, he was most recently responsible for the training of clergy in the Archdiocese of Tuxtla Gutierrez.

Pope Francis appointed him Prelate of Huautla on June 27, 2020.
