Guangning ( 广 宁县 , Guǎngnìng xiàn ) is a district in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong . It is located on the Sui River (绥江) in northwest Guangdong and belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Zhaoqing . The seat of the county government is Nanjie (南街 镇).
geography
The surface shape of Guangning County is generally mountainous. The Sui River crosses the district from northwest to southeast. In addition, the Gushui River (古 水河), the Yonggu River (永固 河) and the Jinchang River (金 场 河) flow through the circle and they all flow into the Sui River. The climate is subtropical ; the average January temperature is 12.5 ° C, the average July temperature around 28.5 ° C. The annual rainfall is around 1750 mm.

The mining of tantalum , niobium , gold , alumina , granite and around 20 other minerals is of economic importance ; in terms of tantalum-niobium extraction, Guangning is among the most important regions in all of China. Above all, bamboo of various types is extracted from the forests of Guangning , the district is also known as the home of bamboo .
Guangning County is an important food producer in Guangdong. In addition to rice , sugar cane , peanuts , cassava and similar roots, tobacco , tea , fruits, plants for traditional Chinese medicine and mulberries are grown.
The industry is mainly based on the processing of wood and bamboo, as well as chemical products, starch, industrial ceramics, paper and printing inks.

Guangning County is part of Zhaoqing Prefecture . Neighboring are Huaiji County in the northwest, Yangshan and Qingxin Counties (both part of the district-free city of Qingyuan ) in the north and northeast, Sihui County in the east, and Gaoyao County and Deqing County in the south. traffic
Guangning is not well connected in terms of traffic, the next highway leads south past the district. Country roads, some of which are not in a good structural condition, connect the district with its neighbors. There is no rail link, but there are small ports on the Sui River .
