Sihui ( Chinese 四 会 市 , Pinyin Sìhùi shì ) is an independent city in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong . It belongs to the administrative area of the district-free city of Zhaoqing and is located in the northwestern end of the delta of the Pearl River on the Sui River (绥江).
geography
The surface shape of the city of Sihui is flat to hilly in the eastern and southern parts, but mountainous in the northwest. The Sui River crosses the city from northwest to southeast. They also flow through the Dragon River (龙江) and a number of other smaller rivers that flow into the Sui River. The climate is tropical to subtropical ; the average January temperature is 12 ° C, the average July temperature around 28.5 ° C. The annual rainfall is around 1830 mm.

economy
The mining of gypsum , coal , tungsten , gold , copper , tin , kaolin , granite and about 10 other minerals is of economic importance ; Numerous precious woods of various types are extracted from the Sihuis forests , and the region is important for the production of natural resin and cinnamon bark .
In agriculture, in addition to rice , sugar cane , peanuts , broad beans and fruits, especially citrus fruits, are grown.
The industry is primarily based on the processing of the raw materials obtained in the area. Important products are sugar , building materials, textiles, pharmaceuticals, shoes and plaster products.

Sihui City is part of the administrative area of Zhaoqing City . Neighboring are Guangning County in the west and northwest, Qingxin County ( Qingyuan City ) in the northeast, Sanshui District ( Foshan City ) in the east, Dinghu District in the south and Gaoyao City in the southwest. The city is divided into three street quarters and ten large municipalities:

In November 2003, Jiangling and Xinjiang Towns were dissolved. The former was integrated into the large community of Jianggu, the latter in the street district of Dongcheng.

The Guangzhou - Sanshui - Maoming railway and the 321 national road touch Sihui at its southern tip, apart from that Sihui is not particularly well connected in terms of transport. Country roads, some of which are not in good structural condition, connect the city with its neighbors.
