Guido Rahn

Guido Rahn (* 1963 in Karben ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and since April 1, 2010 the first Christian Democratic mayor of the city of Karben in the Wetterau .

education and profession

Rahn grew up in Burg-Graefenrode . He attended the Augustinian School in Friedberg . After graduating from high school , he studied economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . Rahn now began to work in the areas of auditing, tax and management consulting for medium-sized companies.

politics

In 1981 he became a member of the CDU. Since 1982 he has been a member of the board of the Karben CDU city association. There he held the post of chairman from 2005 until the election of mayor of the city of Karben.

In 1985 he became a city councilor for the first time. A change to the office of honorary city council followed. In the Hessian local elections in March 2006 he was again city councilor. Furthermore, Rahn is a member of the Frankfurt / Rhein-Main Planning Association , is a member of the district council of the Wetterau district and was deputy chairman of the district parliamentary group of his party until 2011.

On September 27, 2009 Guido Rahn was elected mayor of the city of Karben. He was able to prevail against his opponent from the SPD with 53.7% .
