Gumieńce [ gumˈiɛɲt͡sɛ ] ( German barn ) is a district of Szczecin and is located in the Zachód district ( west ) southwest of the old town.
Geographical location
Neighboring districts of Szczecin are Pomorzany (Pommerensdorf) in the east, Świerczewo (Schwarzow) in the northeast and Turzyn (Torney) in the north Pogodno (Braunsfelde) and Krzekowo-Bezrzecze (Kreckow-Brunn) . In the south and west outside the city limits of Szczecin are the places Ostoja (Schadeleben) and Rajkowo (Reinkendorf) which belong to the Gmina Kołbaskowo in Powiat Policki .
Szczecin Gumieńce is also a train station on the Berlin – Szczecin and Bützow – Szczecin lines . In addition, there was a small station of the now closed Casekow – Penkun – Oder small railway .
