Gunther Hauser

Gunther Hauser (* 1968 ) is an Austrian political scientist .

Life

Hauser studied political science at the University of Innsbruck (Mag.). He completed his doctorate at the University of Salzburg . In 1997/98 he was a member of the parliamentary committee in the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg and from 1998 to 2000 he was a research assistant and organizational officer at the Austrian Institute for European Security Policy.

Since 2000 he has been working in the Federal Ministry of Defense and Sport (BMLVS). In 2010 he became head of the International Security Department at the Institute for Strategy and Security Policy of the National Defense Academy (LVAk) in Vienna.

In 2006 he became Deputy President of the Scientific Forum for International Security (WIFIS) at the Command Academy of the Federal Armed Forces (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. Since then he has also been a lecturer at the Center for European Integration and Business Law at Danube University Krems , where he became an honorary professor in 2014 . He is also a lecturer at the European Security and Defense College (ESDC), at EMILYO / Erasmus militaire, at the Theresian Military Academy (TherMilAk) and the Army NCOs (HUAk). In addition, he gave several guest lectures.
