Gunther Wawrik (born October 7, 1930 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian architect .

Gunther Wawrik studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology from 1948 to 1956 . From 1954 to 1956 he took part in the International Summer Academy for Fine Arts in Salzburg run by Hans Hoffmann and Konrad Wachsmann . In 1958 he founded an architecture office in Vienna together with Hans Puchhammer . In 1978 Wawrik was chairman of the Austrian Society for Architecture. From 1980 Wawrik worked as a freelance architect. In 1985 he was appointed to a professorship at the Munich University of Applied Sciences , which he held until 1996. From 1991 to 1996 he also worked in an office community with Lucia Beringer in Munich. In 1998 and 1999 he was visiting professor at the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
