Gustav Gugitz (architect)

Gustav Gugitz (born May 10, 1836 in Klagenfurt , † July 17, 1882 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

Gustav Gugitz occupied for a training period as builder a study at the Academy of Arts in Vienna. He also trained in the van der Nüll and Sicardsburg atelier . Gugitz mainly worked in the construction office of the Vienna Opera and completed the construction in 1869 after the death of the two architects. From 1875 to 1882 Gugitz acted as a professor and director of the Vienna State Trade School .

His honorary grave is in the Grinzinger Friedhof (group MA, number 20) in Vienna.
