Gustav Hüpeden

Gustav Hüpeden (born February 23, 1850 in Cassel ; † March 8, 1937 there ) was a high school professor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hüpeden attended the Lyceum Fridericianum in Kassel from 1860 to 1867, the University of Marburg from 1867 to 1871 and Berlin in 1871. In 1867 he became a member of the Arminia Marburg fraternity . In 1872 he was first tutor and in 1875 parish assistant in Wernswig . In 1876 he started teaching, first at the Realprogymnasium in Schmalkalden , in 1879 at the grammar school in Rinteln and from 1886 at the Friedrichsgymnasium in Kassel. From 1890 he was chairman of the Evangelical Workers' Association in Kassel. In 1879 he married Marie Lucie Amalie Lang, with whom he had two daughters and a son.

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Kassel 2 Kassel , Melsungen and the German Conservative Party .
