Gustav Mahncke

Gustav Theodor Mahncke , also Gustav Mahnke (born August 7, 1886 in Rostock , † January 28, 1952 in Berlin ) was a German actor and theater director .

Life

Gustav Mahncke was born as the son of typesetter Carl Philipp Mahncke and his wife Maria. From 1934 he worked in various film productions, mostly in supporting roles . He also played at the Städtische Bühnen in Litzmannstadt (Lodz) until 1944 . From 1945 to 1952 he was engaged as an actor and director at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

Gustav Mahncke died on January 28, 1952 in Berlin-Dahlem .
