Gustav Reinhold (born January 22, 1798 in Gera , † November 5, 1849 in Königssee near Berchtesgaden ) was a German painter .

Life

Reinhold was the youngest son of the painter Johann Friedrich Leberecht Reinhold . He first worked as a carpenter in Berlin and moved to Vienna in 1820 , where he worked as a painter under the influence of his brother Friedrich Philipp Reinhold . From 1824 to 1827 he studied at the Vienna Art Academy . From about 1835 he lived in Berchtesgaden, where he mainly painted landscapes.
