Gustav Peter Franz Schraegle (born March 29, 1867 in Bürgel , † October 3, 1925 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German painter .

Born in what is now a district of Offenbach , Schraegle studied at the Kgl from 1885 to 1891 . Art school in Stuttgart with Jakob Grünenwald , Gustav Igler and Friedrich von Keller , who became famous for their genre painting . Subsequently moving to Frankfurt, there were numerous portraits , landscapes and still lifes . Schraegel's works can be found in the Städel or in the portrait collection of Dr. Senckenberg Foundation in Frankfurt. Shortly after his death, a memorial exhibition was held in the local art association in his honor.

Gustav Schraegle was a member of the German Association of Artists .
