Gustav von Schaubert

Gustav Karl Friedrich von Schaubert (* 5. June 1801 in Cieszyn , Austrian Silesia ; † 7. April 1876 in Obernigk ) was a German lawyer , politician and 1839/48 District Administrator of the district Neumarkt .

Life

Born the son of a landowner , he studied law at the University of Wroclaw after attending the Wrocław Elisabeten grammar school . During his studies in 1820 he became a member of the old Breslau fraternity Arminia . For his membership in this fraternity he was punished with relegation by the university senate in 1822 together with 80 other students and could therefore not continue studying until the sentence was lifted in 1824 due to the Karlovy Vary resolutions . After graduating, he became an assessor in Breslau and a district judicial officer in the 1820s . In 1831 he inherited the Gossendorf estate from his father . He became first district deputy in the district of Neumarkt, where he was elected district administrator in 1839 and put into office on June 9, 1839, where he remained until 1848. Because of his great merits, he was elevated to hereditary nobility by the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV on August 22, 1857 . Schaubert was the owner of the Order of the Red Eagle III. Class.
