Guten Morgen Spinner is the second studio album by the German singer and songwriter Bosse .
Emergence
The album was recorded live in just seven days under the production of Moses Schneider . Here, Bosses previous live band formed for the first time in the studio: Thorsten Sala (guitar), Theofilos Fotiadis (bass) and Björn Krüger (drums). Including the mix, the record was completed within 13 days.
In Frankfurt / Oder , Bosse was supported on trumpet by Sven Regener . He wrote this song in La Gomera for his wife, who was pregnant at the time.
Title, cover
The title song Guten Morgen Spinner was written after a sleepless night at dawn on the banks of the Spree. The wording was also chosen by Bosse as the album title, as the song actually offers everything that the album is made of: "Quiet, a little heaviness, arriving and thinking about the things that are really dear to me."
The cover shows the side of a notebook (16 pages / lined). BOSSE is written on it with a felt-tip pen. painted and underlined underneath and written in cursive "GUTEN MORGEN SPINNER". The lettering is framed by several ink spots and lines. In addition, the opened felt-tip pen and cover can be seen under the lettering. At the bottom of the picture, the information "16 PAGES / LINIERT" is printed in light gray.

The irritated
The Irritierte was released on July 21, 2006 as the first and only single. It is an homage to Bosses first band, a song about friendship and youth. The single also contains Actually, Actually , Marie Tyson and a demo version of Die demolierte Kopfmaschine . The song couldn't make it onto the charts.

“What started as Akki Bosse & Accompanying Band is finally a band. Congratulation! What drinking, depressing backstage rooms and bad hotels can't all be good for. In just a few days, Bosse recorded the new album. Why the rush? Why does the bear lick its eggs? Because he can! Björn Krüger (drums) and Thorsten Sala (guitar) belong to the royal class of German indie rock - but in a pack of four you end up in German rock. An insult? Not anymore! It pushes and pushes, rumbles and squeaks - and blows the sebum out of your pores. Bosses throw the life of German backyards and allotments from the fifth floor right at our feet. And the crash! “Nonetheless, that is exactly what Uns Axel tries to do. He knitted 'Guten Morgen Spinner' from the same raw material that 'Kamikazeherz' made a positive surprise a few months ago. Barley juice and big city romance, contemporary witness in everyday life, eruptive optimism. So many new things don't happen in a few months. Unfortunately this time the necessary accents to distinguish between mediocrity and originality are missing. The four carousing dream dancers no longer stand at the fork in the road between wave, grunge and scruffiness - they have decided in favor of maximum straightness. Up-, mid- and downtempo rockisms alternate in just under 38 good minutes of activation music. There is no room for e-beats, guest singers or picturesque metaphors this year. The singer prefers to write straightforward as possible ('It smells like piss and coffee', 'Potato schnapps and sausage between garden gnomes'). It is not authenticity that is the record shortcoming, but the half-baked, homemade song structures. A single boil, boil over, boil over, boil over in one piece. “There are albums for which you should take your time. The second album by an artist is definitely one of them in most cases, especially if the debut was as good as in the case of Axel Bosse. However, Mr. Bosse did not adhere to this rule and landed a blatant mistake. 'Guten Morgen Spinner' is an album that doesn't do justice to the quality of its predecessor at all. "
“In summary, with 'Guten Morgen Spinner', Bosse offers a good German rock album. However, in my opinion, the two main styles of music on the record don't go well together on one album. Each direction could have been a very good album in itself, but they would meet completely different tastes. Bosses singer / songwriter qualities are always present and can sweep the listener away. "
tour
Bosse went on tour with the record for a total of seven dates from late June to early August 2006. He was supported by Kira . The tour was organized by Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur GmbH & Co.KG.
In addition, he performed at the end of May and beginning of June at the Violence Without Me Festival in Zwickau, as well as at Rock am Ring 2006 and Rock im Park 2006.
