The presentation of the Tony Award 2013 ( 67th Annual Tony Awards ) took place on June 9, 2013 after two years in the Beacon Theater again in the Radio City Music Hall in New York City and was broadcast by the broadcaster CBS . The awards were given to plays and musicals from 2012/13, which opened on Broadway until April 25th. The nominations were announced on April 30th. The audience rating of 7.3 million viewers clearly exceeded the results of the previous year (6.01 million) and those of the awards ceremony in 2011 (6.95 million). Neil Patrick Harris was the moderator for the fourth time .
