Milly Shapiro

Milly Shapiro (born July 16, 2002 in Tampa , Florida ) is an American theater and film actress and singer.

life and career

Shapiro grew up in Florida, where she took an early interest in acting and took singing lessons.

At the age of ten she got on Broadway in New York City in the musical Matilda , which is based on the novel of the same name by Roald Dahl , together with Sophia Gennusa , Oona Laurence and Bailey Ryon the lead role of Mathilda Wormwood. For her portrayal, she was in 2013 together with the other young actresses with a Tony Award awarded in the category "Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theater" and the Grammy Awards in 2014 for a Grammy nominated.

As Shapiro Sisters , Milly Shapiro released the EP Time Reveals together with her older sister Abigail in 2017 on Broadway Records .

In 2018 she played one of the main roles in the horror film Hereditary .
