Controversy

When the Rock am Ring event, led by Lieberberg, was interrupted by the police on June 2, 2017 because of a terror warning that was later lifted, Lieberberg expressed a lack of understanding of the actions of the authorities and politicians in a spontaneous press conference. In particular, his statement made in this speech regarding Islamist-motivated endangering or terrorist actions that he had not yet seen any Muslims "who have taken to the streets by the tens of thousands and said what are you doing there?" Was particularly controversial.
