Guy Charbonneau

Guy Charbonneau PME (born January 13, 1946 in Montréal ) is a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Choluteca .

Life

Guy Charbonneau joined the religious order of the Société des Missions-Étrangères , made his profession on May 24, 1969 and was ordained a priest on May 16, 1970 .

From 2008 to 2013 he was Superior General of the Société des Missions-Étrangères. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Choluteca on January 26, 2013 . The Archbishop of Tegucigalpa , Cardinal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on April 20 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Luigi Bianco , Apostolic Nuncio in Honduras , and Guido Plante PME, Former Bishop of Choluteca.
