Career

Gwen Giabbani started his career with the French police team Police 22 . In 2001 he was able to win the stock sport class in the FIM Endurance Cup classification. In 2003 he won the last race of the police team in Vallelunga for the time being . He then switched to the French Endurance MOTO 38 team, where he finished third in the World Championship and clinched his first Le Mans podium. In 2005 he moved to the Austrian Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART), with whom he again finished third in the World Championship on a Yamaha and in 2006 he was runner-up.

2007 Giabbani decided for the French Kawasaki - Factory Team Championship Superbike in the World Endurance Championship and the French to compete. After a few escapades, he was released at Kawasaki and drove as a French "Foreign Legionnaire" in various teams and championships. His appearance in the IDM (German Superbike Championship), where he replaced the hitherto unsuccessful Michael Schulten and immediately competed for podium places, was very impressive. At the end of the season he even won a championship run on a Kawasaki in Hockenheim. At the end of 2008 he helped out again at the YART at the Bol d'Or and achieved a third podium. Four years after his first YART outing, Giabbani won the Le Mans 24-hour motorcycle race for the first time in 2009. In 2009 there were three more World Cup victories and the World Cup title.

To date, Gwen Giabbani has won six Endurance World Championship races, five of them for the Austrian YART.
