Anthony Delhalle (born January 11, 1982 in Chartres , Eure-et-Loir department ; † March 9, 2017 in Nogaro , Gers department ) was a French motorcycle racer and rally driver .

Life

Anthony Delhalle mainly drove endurance races and was part of the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT). Most recently he took part in the FIM CEV Superbike European Championship and the Motorcycle Endurance World Championship with a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 , which he won a total of five times. In 2014 and 2015, he and his teammates Vincent Philippe and Étienne Masson won the Le Mans 24-hour motorcycle race . In 2011 and 2016 he won the Bol d'Or on the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours .

Delhalle lived in Le Mans with his wife and two children . On March 9, 2017, he fell on the Paul Armagnac Circuit in Nogaro at a speed of more than 300 km / h and sustained fatal injuries.
