Patrick de Radiguès

Patrick de Radiguès (born July 25, 1956 in Leuven ) is a Belgian sailor and former motorcycle and car racer . He is the older brother of Didier de Radiguès .

Racing career

Patrick de Radiguès began his motorcycle career . In 1984, he won together mi Jean-Pierre Oudin on Suzuki the Bol d'Or and 1989, he was second overall in the FIM Endurance World Championship , the long distance World Championship the FIM . Even when he was a motorcycle, de Radiguès also competed in car races. He contested the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race several times , where he finished seventh in the overall standings in 1989 together with Andy Bovensiepen and Georg Memminger in a BMW M3.

In 1988 he started the race with Max Cohen-Olivar on a Cougar C12 registered by Courage Compétition , but was not rated due to the lack of distance covered.

Sailors

After the end of his motorsport career, he turned to sailing and became a skipper in high seas regattas . He participated in the Vendée Globes in 1996/1997 and 2000/2001 and was fifth in the Transat Québec Saint-Malo in 1996 . Jacques Vabre also sailed with the Transat .
