Gwenegan Bui

Gwenegan Bui (born July 27, 1974 in Vitry-sur-Seine ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012 .

Bui studied mainly in Brest and at the beginning of his studies decided to get involved in politics. He joined the Parti socialiste and was later chairman of the Mouvement des Jeunes Socialistes . At the end of his studies, Bui obtained a DEA in history and a DESS in geopolitics . In 2008 he was elected to the national office of the Parti socialiste. In the following year he succeeded in entering the parish council of Morlaix . In 2010 he also joined the Regional Council of Brittany . This was followed by a candidacy in the parliamentary elections in 2012 , where he ran in the fourth constituency of the Finistère department as deputy of Marylise Lebranchu . Lebranchu was elected and had to surrender her mandate to Bui in July 2012 after she was appointed minister.
