Gyula Tóth (born April 20, 1941 in Kikinda , Yugoslavia , † March 1, 2014 ) was a Hungarian football player and coach . He played in the position of goalkeeper .

career

After the move, Toth started his football career in Germany first at VfL Nürnberg, then at ASV Zirndorf in the 2nd amateur league, before he was able to switch to the southern German league club SpVgg Fürth in 1960 as a contract player . Since Gerhard Geissler was the undisputed number one in the Kleeblatt-Elf , the young goalkeeper only made eight appearances in three rounds of league football. In the first year of the old second -rate regional football league South , 1963/64, Gyula Toth completed all 38 league games for the Fürth team and made a name for himself among the advancing goalkeeper guard. He received an offer from FC Schalke 04 and switched to the Bundesliga . He played for FC Schalke 04 in the 1964/65 season and for the 1. FC Nürnberg team from 1965 to 1968 . In the 1966/67 season he was from the 27th match day, April 1, 1967, for the Elf from the Noris in the fight for relegation in use. He was one of the top performers in the 1-0 away win at Karlsruher SC, the 1-0 home win against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the 4-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt and the two 2-1 successes against Werder Bremen and 1860 Munich. For round 1968/69 he moved for two rounds to SSV Jahn Regensburg in the regional football league south and completed 47 regional league games for Jahn. At FC 08 Homburg under coach Uwe Klimaschefski , another 55 league games were added in the Regionalliga Südwest from 1970 to 1972. Between 1963 and 1972 he played 140 regional and 33 Bundesliga matches. After his playing days he became a coach . From 1976 to 1979 he coached KSV Hessen Kassel . In the 1979/80 season he was the coach of the Hessian league club FC Hanau 93 .
