Höfles (Graefenberg)

Höfles is a place in the Upper Franconian district of Forchheim . The local government reform since the city Gräfenberg belonging hamlet has about 90 inhabitants. Small weekend houses were built on the outskirts in the 1960s and 1970s.

history

Höfles means “belonging to the Höflein”; the first documentary mention dates back to 1516. The Höfleser Shepherd's House was built around 1790. It is the oldest building in the village that has been preserved almost in its original state. Until the municipal area reform, Höfles belonged to the municipality of Thuisbrunn . On May 1, 1978, the place was incorporated into the city of Graefenberg.

The small village is located in the middle of the triangle between Nuremberg - Bamberg - Bayreuth in Franconian Switzerland .
