The Höllentalspitzen are three peaks in the Wetterstein Mountains near Garmisch-Partenkirchen . They rise from the ridge called Blassenkamm, which runs from the Zugspitze to the east and separates the Höllental in the north from the Reintal in the south. Closest to the Zugspitze is the Innere Höllentalspitze , 2741 m, followed by the Mittlere Höllentalspitze , 2743 m and the Äußere Höllentalspitze , 2720 m.
The peaks can only be reached by experienced alpinists. As a rule, they are exceeded when climbing the anniversary ridge. In mountaineering circles, the "Jubigrat" refers to the transition from the Zugspitze via Höllentalspitzen and Vollkarspitze to the Grießkarscharte and on to the Alpspitze and requires the safe mastery of the third level of difficulty on the UIAA scale. This long traverse can only be broken off via the equally difficult Brunntal ridge, which branches off to the south near the summit of the Inner Höllentalspitze, to the Knorrhütte in Reintal. Between the middle and the outer Höllentalspitze is the Höllentalgrathütte , a small, unmanaged bivouac box for emergencies.
