Hörselberg
The municipality of Hörselberg was a political regional authority founded on January 1, 1996 from eleven localities in the northeastern Wartburg district of the Free State of Thuringia . On December 1, 2007, it was united with the neighboring municipality of Behringen to form the new municipality of Hörselberg-Hainich by the Thuringian law on the voluntary restructuring of municipalities belonging to the district .
The community between Eisenach and Gotha was on the rivers Hörsel and Nesse . It enclosed the eponymous Great Hörselberg . The administrative seat was in Wenigenlupnitz.
The last time there lived 3270 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2006) in the 63.24 km² large municipal area.
